I started out as a visual artist in Arnhem, exhibiting my work in Arnhem, Amsterdam, Heeze, and Den Helder. However, I increasingly found myself facing a particular issue: while I spent many months of the year creating paintings in the solitude of my studio, I found myself missing human interaction more and more. I have been taking photographs my entire life; driven by a deep passion for imagery and storytelling, this pursuit has evolved into a professional photography business specializing in corporate events, family photography, press photos, and portraits.

My name is Jan Adelaar. I am a professional freelance photographer with over 25 years of experience in imagery, composition, and lighting. Based in Arnhem, I capture people, businesses, and events in a powerful and atmospheric way throughout Gelderland and beyond.
