Photography Eusebius Church
Since 2017, I have been photographing as a fellow for the Eusebius Church. Together with fellow photographer Jan van Dalen, we have already spent many hours in and around the church. We have already experienced wonderful moments and have been able to follow the restoration well. Both Interior and exterior have been thoroughly addressed to finally get the Eusebius off the scaffolding. The last works, such as the flying buttress statues that have been restored, have been put back in place. In recent years, the focus has therefore been to interest a broad sponsor group, and to connect with this project in one way or another. With stories about what the church has seen and experienced, spectacular views over the city from the glass balconies, exhibitions and high-profile events in the sign of the Battle of Arnhem, the exploitation is shaped by an enthusiastic team.
A highlight was also the unveiling of the Plaque by HRH Prince Charles on 21 September 2019 during the commemoration of the Battle of Arnhem 75 years.
2020 was dominated by the dismantling of the scaffolding around the tower, the view of the Arnhem skyline has been restored. The work took place mainly in the church, such as removing the wooden floors and restoring the tomb monument of Karel van Gelre.
Unfortunately, the organ has suffered water damage and a sponsorship project has now been set up.
